City of West Sacramento
Home MenuRecords Section
The Records Section serves as one of the most important functions in the Department. It has responsibility for entering and processing all crime, traffic, warrant, registrant, citation, and property information into computerized databases. These law enforcement databases include local, state and federal records systems. It is critical that information loaded into these systems is accurate and complete. Incorrect information entered into these systems can make the difference between a wanted person going free or being taken into custody. The Records Section is responsible for processing all paperwork for the Courts and District Attorney regarding arrests and investigations handled by the West Sacramento Police Department.
The Records Section is your first contact when entering or calling the Police Department. Under the direction of the Records Manager, the Section is staffed with six Records Technicians, and two Clerks who answer the telephone and assist walk-in traffic. The Records Section is your link to information housed within the department and you can expect courteous, efficient and prompt customer service from our staff.
Controlled entry lobby hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with a lunch closure from 1:00pm-2:00pm daily. Our address is 550 Jefferson Boulevard, West Sacramento. (916) 617-4900.
